Try Phantogram, Mr. Lev. Phantogram is where I was hoping Metric would go. Instead of listening to Synthetica, I've been listening to Phantogram for 3 straight months.

As long as you're headed down here to Florida, you should read some books about Florida (and especially Florida weirdness). Hiassen's fiction, of course, has its pleasures (he's got a new kids' book out called "Chomp") as do the books of his followers. Those are the obvious choices. But you might also consider a new non-fiction book: "The Scent of Scandal," about a bizarre orchid-smuggling case that led to criminal charges against a scientific institution in Sarasota. Strangest story I've ever covered.

Hope you stay out of the heat. Florida is SO HOT, it's gross.

Also, I accidentally got sent a magazine that was meant for you at work the other day. Had your name and everything. It was the coolest thing ever! Totally made my day.

Have fun! Whatever, you're the smartest. (That is re: getting on stage with people smarter than you.)

I read Niven's The Wishing Game this week, and I didn't really find it sad. It was definitely awesome though and I'm going to be reading more of him. His style is so clean. I like his ideas best.

Have fun! Chances are, you'll still know the kids's names when you get back, you just may not remember which is which. Of course, I never remember which is which in our house either and I haven't even been on a book tour this year (ever).
