(The Bloggess came to Charlotte and she's a bestselling author and one of my favorites too so you have a lot in common.) (Also we don't have a lot of Midwesterners in Charlotte but we are mostly made up of New Yorkers, and most Midwesterners descended from people who passed through New York at some point so it's practically the same thing.)
